Let the splashparty begin!
Alright, I’ve decided to bite the bullet and do a blog tour. Hey, why should I be the only life-form in the Universe who doesn’t?
So here’s the gig. TimeSplash is to be published in the middle of February 2010. The blog tour will start, therefore in the following week with a kickoff on my publisher’s blog on 22nd February. I’ll probably be making a few casual remarks about how TOTALLY AWESOME it is to have my first novel published and what to expect from the rest of the tour – which I haven’t even planned yet.
After that, I hope to recruit some of you guys to give me air-time on your own wonderful blogs. If you’re interested (please be interested) use the contact form below. As a complete publicity whore (I mean writer) I will do absolutely anything on your blog. And while your imagination does cartwheels, let me suggest a few possibilities. You could interview me (c’mon, you must want to know what my favourite colour is!) or I could write something about the book, about writing the book, about selling the book, about writing my next book, about all the other books I’ve written that haven’t been published yet, about sci-fi, about books in general, life in general, the meaning of life, and so on.
I think it is going to be fun.
If you’re not sure how a blog tour works, it’s like this. You and I agree a date on which I will supply some copy for your blog. We also agree (broadly) what it will be. Then I produce it, send it to you, and you put it up on your blog. You get the warm and fuzzy feeling of helping a struggling author publicise their new book. You also get to not have to write a post that day. And, if we’re both really lucky, some people will come along and read it. I get to expose my novel to all your readers (and hopefully some of them will be a different lot than the ones who read my blog! Speaking of which, British and American blog owners are especially welcome, since I’ve a feeling there will be a predominance of Australian volunteers.)
Great. Now, don’t forget to fill in the form below and get the ball rolling.
