TimeSplash Reviews

This is a list of reviews people have written of TimeSplash, along with quotes and links. I am immensely grateful that people are saying kind things about this book. There is a Japanese proverb that says, one kind word can warm three winter months. Well, whoever first said it must have been a writer thinking about reviews.

If you have written a review of TimeSplash and would like it listed, please let me know.

When Who Where What
16th Feb Andy Shackcloth Andy Shack’s Blog Timesplash is very much a book in the ‘pick it up’ category, one that fights being put down, mostly owing to Graham Storrs’ deft building of believable characters and compelling story line.
16th Feb Stephen Odhner The Rest of Your Mice The pacing was good – I read the whole thing in one sitting – and the plot was pretty tight … a well-written and intriguing novel. Go buy it
20th Feb George Angus Amazon Kindle Store From the very first scene, I knew this was going to be something special. … the author uses just the right amount of vivid description to put the reader right in the middle of the action. The characters are active and robust. … I found myself cheering for Sandra and Jay as they faced seemingly insurmountable obstacles. In short, this book is a great read.
27th Feb Joanna Penn Amazon Kindle Store …a great fast read with some excellent ideas.
28th Feb Nuke Antipodean SF This is a great read from an Aussie writer whose work I have not previously had the pleasure of reading. Storrs obviously knows how to wrangle a good tale. Indeed, the plot of Timesplash is a solid tweak on the notion of time-travel, and the characters are tightly integrated into the action-oriented narrative.
28th Feb K.R. Amazon Kindle Store Graham Storrs starts strong and keeps you turning the pages in this exhilarating science-fiction adventure. His writing style is delightful to read – articulate but never pretentious, succinct but never lacking in descriptive power – and he portrays his characters with a wonderful sensitivity. I’m not generally a fan of science-fiction or of thrillers, but this book won me over with its intelligence, and the sheer excitement of its story.
9th Mar Janette Dalgliesh A Work In Progress The action is tense and believable; characters are well-rounded and psychologically plausible; and the resolution is immensely satisfying. It has that best quality of all adventure stories: it’s impossible to put down. Highly recommended.
9th Mar D. Swanson Amazon Kindle Store His time-travel plot takes place on an earth that has faced political and physical disasters, but it still reminds us enough of home to command our interest and compassion. The tension could keep you sitting straight through to the book’s end, but its human realism and graphic detail warrant stops along the way to admire Storrs’ descriptive skill.
19th Mar Nanci Arvizu Amazon Kindle Store Graham Storrs is a talented story teller, weaving a tale of futuristic time travelers who become almost addicted to the thrill of the adventure.
24th Mar Rod Rivers Amazon Kindle Store This is what SF should be about. A stunning metaphysical concept played out in a credible way in a fine writing style. Brilliant and highly recommended.
28th Mar Trevas Walker eBookGuru.org Timesplash takes a new, and completely unique, stance on time travel in fiction, and the book will keep you involved right from beginning to end. I’m highly recommending this one to anyone who enjoys this genre.
23rd April Jonas Islander The Ancient Islander The plot is tightly knit, rarely slowing down the pace. … This is a novel that could make an excellent movie – there is plenty of physical action, the time travel scenes are very graphic, the plot is straight with only two threads to follow, and the main characters could easily be made appealing to moviegoers.
12th July Cathy McLeod Booktaste This page-turner gets into action from the start: a girl in fear, the baddy supreme. Author Graham Storrs expertly paints a future world with problems even worse than at present, such as nuclear armed warlords. Beijing crumbles, London quakes (in 1902). Sniper is not particular in which era he applies his psychotic malice. The very fabric of the universe is threatened.
13th July A. M. Harte Quillsandzebras TimeSplash is highly ambitious in its scope, and the key to its success is Storrs’ intriguing take on time travel, which is integrated seamlessly into the storyline, avoiding the off-putting technicality of so much science fiction. … TimeSplash is ultimately a very human tale about finding bravery through fear, and never giving up. Jay, Sandra, and the host of other … characters are vividly portrayed: you cannot help but empathize with their plights … highly recommended for science fiction and thriller enthusiasts alike, and even those undecided. Go buy it!
26th July Paul Szilard Amazon Kindle Store This is my 2nd eBook, the first being the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, which is an accomplished best seller. TimeSplash is equal in its engrossing and imaginative story telling. Graham Storrs manages to provide a truly unique angle on time travel and tells the story in a riveting way, that I found virtually impossible to put down. I am positive that this will make a movie comparable to Avatar! I guarantee that no one that enjoys science fiction, would be disappointed by this novel. I just can’t wait to read more from Graham Storrs, if this is the standard that he can achieve!
14th Aug MCM 1889 Labs It’s tense, actiony and generally a brilliant execution of a brilliant idea.
